We presented our first draft of our ancillary task to the class today. We showed them our poster and our feedback was as followed;
- Put 'Dear Lucy' on one line rather than two
- Either put the older actors on the poster or both, not just younger
- Make the tag line bigger
- Take the writing paper off of James' face

Ancillary Task: Magazine Picture Edits
This was our photoshop edit of the first draft. We may change this to colour but we tested out black and white first to make it look like the younger versions of the people were 'forgotten about'.
Summary of our Second Day of Filming
Today we filmed for the second time for our trailer. We used the 'older versions' of the characters; Sophie and Joe. The scenes we filmed today were:
- Ben giving back Lucy's diary
- the conversation between Ben and Lucy about how Lucy hasn't received any letters
- Lucy speaking to Ben on the phone
The day after, in our media lesson we edited all of our trailer so far. We came up with the conclusion that we need one more time of filming in order to get all of the clips to make sense. So far, our storyline is understandable and we have fulfilled all of the ideas that we wanted to.
During filming, we decided to change some of the dialogue, so this will be changed in our script.

Further Changes to our Plot
We have made a slight change to the plot of our film, which will affect the script for our film trailer. Below is a rough idea of our new plot:
- Lucy moves into foster home
- She meets a boy called ben, soon becoming best friends
- Lucy gets fostered and soon moves away
- Ben and Lucy promise to write to each other and to not lose contact
- Ben finds Lucy's diary that she left at the foster home
- Lucy does write to him
- He slowly begins to realise that he has to move on and faces the fact that Lucy doesn't want to speak to him anymore.
- 10 years on, Ben decides he will return Lucy's diary to her. He returns the diary to the address inside and is shocked to see Lucy's face appear at the front door
- She opens the door and is shocked to see him
- Lucy invites him in and they speak
- Lucy tells Ben he is too late to make things work because she is married
- Ben is upset and starts to ignore Lucy's calls
- He throws the picture of them as younger kids into the fire
- They argue over the phone and agree to meet up
- They get on and cuddle on the sofa
- Lucy tells Ben that she is going to leave her husband
- Lucy takes off her ring
- They build on their relationship and the trailer ends them together

Changes to our Plot
After a long discussion as a team, we have decided to change the end of our film trailer slightly as not all of us were 100% happy with the plot of the film towards the end when filming Sophie and Joe (our film trailer actors).
We will make changes to our script so that we can use this to help us during filming.

Summary of our First Day of Filming
Today we started filming for our film trailer with two of our actors Amy and James.
We decided to film in around the sixth form and outside by the car park as we wanted to show Lucy and Ben (our two characters) building on their friendship at the foster home.
After about two and a half hours of filming we went home and edited some of the clips to start on our film trailer, however we were not 100% satisfied with all of the clips we had filmed that day, so we have arranged another day to film and have put together a whole new plan of exactly where we are going to film. So really, our first day of filming today was more of a practise to get a rough idea of what we want our actors to do and where we are going to film exactly.
We are next filming on Monday 16th December, but this time with our two older actors who play the older versions of Ben and Lucy in the film trailer.
